MTV Base Joins List of Music Outlets Banning Marlian Music Following Mohbad's Tragic Passing

MTV Base, an international music channel, has joined the growing roster of music platforms implementing a ban on Marlian music. 

Marlian Music, a record label owned by Naira Marley, has faced scrutiny and allegations surrounding its involvement in the tragic passing of Mohbad, an artist associated with the label.

In the aftermath of Mohbad's controversial demise, numerous radio stations across the country initiated a "Not to Be Broadcast" (NTTB) ban on all tracks under Marlian Records Label. 

This industry-wide response highlighted the seriousness of the issue and prompted MTV Base to follow suit.

The announcement of MTV Base's ban on Marlian music was made by the popular TV host, Ehizojie Okoeguale, widely known as DadaBoy Ehiz and an esteemed staff member of the music channel. He took to his social media platform to communicate the decision, garnering attention and support for the initiative.

The move by MTV Base underscores the concerns and allegations surrounding Marlian Music, particularly in the wake of disturbing videos depicting harassment and bullying of Mohbad. 

These incidents have brought the label's practices and its association with key figures like Naira Marley and Sam Larry under intense scrutiny.
